Office Policies Please read the following office policies carefully.
Payment
Payment in full is expected at the time of service. Please visit the Payment page for more information.
Late Arrival Policy
Please try to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
In the event you arrive late to your appointment, we will make every effort to provide you with as complete a treatment as possible; however, please understand we may need to make the treatment shorter than it would have been to not be late for the next patient.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, we reserve the right to reschedule you for another time instead of offering treatment. Please do call the clinic if you will be late to make an educated judgement.
If the appointment can be rescheduled to the same week, the late cancellation fee will be waived.
Cancellation Policy
The AcuTherapy clinic tends to be a busy place and to ensure you get an appointment when you want or need, we encourage you to make your appointments in advance. Patients who cancel or who miss their appointment without 24 hours notification will be charged for the full price of their visit.

It is important to keep in mind that insurance companies do NOT pay for missed appointments. In this case, it is the patient’s sole responsibility to pay for missed/cancelled appointments under these guidelines.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese Herbal Prescriptions must be paid for in full when picking up herbs. This cost is separate from your appointment fee. Chinese herbal prescriptions and patent formulas are non-refundable.
As Chinese raw and powdered herbs are mixed specifically for the patient, the patient is responsible for the cost of all prescriptions filled in the patient’s name, utilized or not. Prescriptions need to be picked up within two weeks. Prescriptions not picked up after two weeks will be charged to the credit card associated with the patient’s account.

Courtesy
Please help us maintain the serenity of the clinic environment by muting cell phones or other electronic devices. We also ask that guests please maintain a quiet level of conversation as a courtesy to our other patients being treated. When you arrive for your appointment, and the treatment door is closed, we are probably with a patient. Please do not loudly announce your arrival, but instead, take a seat and relax until it is time for your treatment.
Confidentiality
Patient confidentiality (HIPAA) as required by state law is maintained at all times. Anything and everything discussed during your appointment is between you and the practitioner only. If you would like me to discuss your treatments with another health care provider or with a loved one, I will require your written/signed consent. Even if your friends or family members are also coming to the clinic, nothing is discussed without your consent.
Valuables
I cannot be responsible for any lost or damaged personal articles.
